She completed her bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Medical Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and her master's in Public Health from the University of South Florida. With her background in public health and community nonprofits, she has gained extensive experience in evaluating programs' impact, coordinating the implementation of new initiatives, and communicating complex ideas and insights in an easy-to-understand way. Her interests are centered on improving the well-being of families and communities, particularly in terms of social determinants of health. A self-proclaimed data nerd, she believes that data plays a crucial role in addressing these issues and is dedicated to ensuring that data is not only accurate but also meaningful, accessible, and actionable.

She has always felt a sense of duality in her life as she is immersed in the rich culture and traditions of her parents' home country while also living a life of privilege in the United States. Being first-generation has given her valuable insights into how people's behaviors and motivations can influence their actions. This has instilled in her a deep sense of empathy and compassion, resulting in a curiosity to understand actions within the context of culture and beliefs. Currently a LEEAD Cohort 5 Scholar, Natalie believes that Culturally Responsive & Racially Equitable Evaluation (CRREE) is not just an approach to be incorporated but a natural embodiment that empowers practitioners to develop empathy with a constructive mindset.

Due to her lived experience, Natalie has developed a talent for conveying complex concepts in simple and easy-to-understand ways, which has been essential to her personal and professional development. As an avid learner, she enjoys exploring in-depth to understand the root causes and effects on communities and their well-being. This holistic approach enables her to gain a better understanding of the impact by adapting various methods and techniques to meet unique needs or settings.

When she's not obsessing over data visualizations and implementation science, you can find Natalie making plans for her upcoming trips with family and friends.

Eve Coleman, MS

Senior Assistant Consultant

  • Eve (she/her) serves as a Research & Evaluation Assistant at Mirror Group LLC. Eve received her B.S. in Sociology and Criminology and M.S. in Sociology from Virginia Tech. In college, she initially planned on pursuing a career in law enforcement before fully understanding what that work and those institutions entailed. She pivoted, realizing that the community-based support and work that she wanted to do could be done outside of the criminal justice system. Her dream was to somehow use research to work in, and with, communities to address the issues most pressing for them.

Her interests in sexual violence prevention, child abuse prevention, reproductive rights, and gender and racial equity are rooted in her work as a student organizer. Her sociological training provides frameworks to critically examine the systems that sustain inequalities and opportunities for change. She developed a passion for qualitative research while completing her Master’s thesis, which involved conducting and analyzing interviews with fellow Asian adoptees regarding their responses to increased violence against Asian Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. She enjoyed qualitatively coding their interviews and finding patterns and commonalities in their experiences, while uplifting individuality and nuance at the same time.

Her passion for building human-centered connections through qualitative work, and her desire to practice community-centered and participatory research and evaluation, led her to Mirror Group, where her greatest joy is uplifting the voices of community members regarding the issues that most affect them. As an assistant at Mirror Group, Eve also enjoys using her artistic eye to create data visualizations and presentations, while keeping digital accessibility at the forefront of her designs. Her most vital asset at Mirror Group is her curiosity, wonder, and cultural humility, which she brings to every engagement.
